COMP8715 Advanced Computing Team Project

S1S26 units8000-level

COMP8715 is an annual course (6+6) that must be completed twice, in consecutive semesters. Students will conduct a project, under supervision, that will act as a capstone to their degree program, and increase the depth of their knowledge in the computing area. The project will be undertaken in small teams. The activities in the course will normally include some combination of reading, writing, artefact construction and presentation, as appropriate to the project's topic. Application of research methodologies in literature review and evaluation will also be undertaken. Topic-specific learning objectives, project overview and assessment arrangements will be specified at the outset of the course. To enrol in this course you must meet the eligibility criteria, which includes membership of a student project group before the end of week 1, where the project has been approved by the convener.

Why it's read this way: Each "be enrolled in the Master of" opens a pathway; inside one, AND separates course groups whose "or" lists alternatives. Group membership and convener approval are caveats.

The handbook also asks for something this site can't check (a permission code, a GPA, group membership or "equivalent" study). Read the original below.

Incompatible with COMP8755, COMP8830, COMP8800: you can't count both.
